Several industries of the entertainment world are suffering a radical transformation in the way they publish and distribute content, especially due to technological advancements. Entertainment Media Publishing and Distribution gave me a thorough understanding of how traditional businesses operated in the past, how companies are trying to adapt, survive, or succeed, and how technological trends and shifts in social behavior are affecting the future of entertainment. With that in mind, I was encouraged to research and understand today’s publishing and distribution-on-demand options and explore new technologies.
Furthermore, I learned how to secure publishing deals by understanding how to compose professional industry-related documents such as query letters, Distributor One sheets, multimedia press kits, and professional proposals for the TV, film, and game industries.
